Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Hortons, and Firehouse Subs needed their digital ordering and loyalty platforms launched in brand-new markets across Europe, Singapore, Brazil, and India. Each launch required authentication, loyalty integrations, and region-specific configuration to be production-ready in time for a hard go-live date, while staying in sync with mobile, backend, CMS, and DevOps teams spread across the globe.
Acted as a core engineer across these new-market rollouts, building the authentication flows, loyalty integrations, and regional configuration systems each market needed, and coordinating directly with mobile, backend, CMS, DevOps, and product teams to keep every launch on track.
Built on a microservices architecture with AWS Cognito handling authentication, GraphQL as the API layer, and Node.js/TypeScript services backed by DynamoDB for regional configuration and loyalty data. SQS/SNS handled asynchronous messaging between services, allowing each new market's configuration and integrations to be added without destabilizing the platforms already live elsewhere.
